Students need to visit this website to login: Login is student id and   a six(6) digit birthday- numbers only

We are just starting with School Loop so grades and homework will be the first things that start to come up-as teachers become more comfortable with the program their websites will expand. So please be patient with us as we learn the program right along with you.

School loop is an amazing program. Here are a few things that it does when you are registered.

Sends out a nightly email with all grades and assignments

Allows you to contact the teachers through the program

Allows students to download assignments that are posted by the teachers…and much more.

The Home Access Center (the program that you are now using) can still be accessed by clicking here: Home Access Center

We will not be using the program for grades, but you can check finished progress reports and report cards as well as attendance.

We are looking for 3 parents to become School Site Council reps- here is how it works:

1. If you are interested please email Brian and include a brief bio and why you want to run- 100 words or less please.
2. Come to the first intro SAC meeting on 8/30 at 7pm in the library or room 2 depending on the number of people we get
3. Obligations: to attend 1 meeting each month, to serve a two year term if you are a 7th grade parent and a one year term if you are an 8th grade parent. To give your valuable opinion each month and help improve the school.

PS- We are also looking for active parents to be members of the Home and School Club.
This club runs most of the activities that take place at AJHS-
They meet at the same time as the SSC-We are in need of a treasurer for this portion of the School Advisory Council (SAC)
.This is a great avenue for parents who want to help out and set up and work at various events.
There is no official voting for this part of the SAC so if you want to help out, be the president, treasurer, or anything else just let me know.

Please spread the word!  Students (all ages) from throughout the region (of Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Alameda, and Monterey Counties) are invited to attend the GATE Student-to-Student Conference being held at UCSC on May 8, 2010.

This event is FREE and a bus will take parents and students from Watsonville to UCSC.

Three Ways to Participate:

  1. Students can present a workshop of their choice, and also attend other students’ workshops. Workshops can be about almost anything!
  2. Students can attend the conference without presenting, and just enjoy other students’ workshops.
  3. Parents/Guardians can attend the parent workshops, or attend the student workshops. (Parents: if your child is presenting, you will   also need to be in the classroom while they present their workshop.)

Much like at an adult conference, students who attend will receive a program that lists the various 25 minute presentations or workshops, and they will get to choose to attend up to four sessions.

We hope to get as many PVUSD students as possible to attend. Attached is an invitation for you to offer to those students who are “resident experts” in a particular topic, or who are passionate about a hobby or topic they have learned about inside or outside of school. Please download it, fill it out and give to students! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to become exposed to each other’s enthusiasm for learning. Last year the conference was for secondary students. This year all students are invited to participate.

Parents must be present in the classroom while own their sons and daughters are presenting.  Students need not agree to present at the conference in order to attend any of the 25 minute presentations or workshops. Several parent workshops will be offered as well, but the emphasis is on students.
