Dear Aptos Junior 8th grade parents--

The end of the school year is fast approaching and one of the exciting events ahead is the 8th Grade Dance on Friday, June 2nd from 6-8:30pm. This is a special evening for the students as they prepare to leave Aptos Junior and head off to high school and we want to make it memorable.

A committee is already hard at work to put this event together, and we welcome anyone who would like to participate!  We have several subcommittees including food, games/activities, and decorations, among others.  Please contact me or consider joining us at our next meeting on April 17th at 6pm in room 1 at AJHS if you'd like to get involved!

The other thing we desperately need is money to pay for this event.  We are asking all 8th grade families to consider making a donation to help cover the cost of the party.  We are hoping to raise $2500 and are asking for your help.  Please consider making a cash donation, or you may sponsor a specific item (such as covering the cost of the DJ, donating food/drink items, decorations, etc).  You may donate money via PayPal on the AJHS website.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Sharon Kluger

Dear Sea Dragon Families,

We (PVUSD and AJHS) are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational software company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. For that reason, we are reaching out to ask you to take part in the Clarity questionnaire.  It takes only 5 minutes!  Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in your students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy.

Please take 5 minutes to help your child's school make technology decisions.

This is an anonymous survey regarding your technology use. There are no right or wrong answers. Everyone will have a different set of answers to these questions, depending on his/her different experiences. Thank you for your time and ideas!
