FOR ALL INFORMATION LISTED BELOW STUDENTS MUST MEET BOTH BEHAVIORAL AND ACADEMIC

REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE-(check the binder reminder for exclusion guidelines)

 

 

8th Grade Promotion Dance:

 

  • June 2nd, 6:00-8:30 @ the Aptos Junior High School Gymnasium.

  • Cost of the dance is free, invitations will be given out to all eligible students prior to the dance.  You must have your invitation in order to receive a wristband which admits you into the dance.

  • Donations are being accepted to help cover the costs and are greatly appreciated.

  • Graduation Dance Dress Code:

    • Boys: Nice pants (no jeans or shorts), collared shirts, ties are nice but not necessary. No tuxedos-No hats or flip flops

    • Girls:  Nice pants/pant suits, dresses, blouses, skirts, etc.  Spaghetti strap and halter top dresses are OK (no jeans or shorts).

      • NO micro/mini-skirts, strapless dresses, or dresses with cutouts or see through areas

      • Dress must reach the end of your longest finger when your hands are extended naturally at your side

      • No high heels, wedges or heels of any kind at the dance

*NO LIMOUSINES.

Great America Trip:

 

  • June 6th, Cost $65 – purchase tickets online through AJHS homepage (PayPal) starting May 1st and ending on May 19th.

  • The trip includes the following:

    • Deluxe charter bus ride from AJHS to Great America

    • All day admission to Great America

  • Students will leave from and return to Aptos Junior High

    • Great America trip will run from approximately 8:45am to 6:30pm

  • School and district rules and dress code apply.



 

Promotion Practice:

 

  • June 7th @ Aptos Junior High School gymnasium 8:30 – 12:45

    • ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY AT CABRILLO.

 

Play Day:

 

  • June 7th @ Aptos Junior High School, 12:45 - 2:45

    • Students must be in good behavior standing in order to participate in Play Day (Please refer to the binder reminder/discipline matrix for more information).

 

Promotion Ceremony:

 

  • June 8th, 9:00 AM @ Cabrillo College

    • Students meet at Cabrillo in front of the Gymnasium at 8:15

  • Dress Code:
