AJHS Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)

Aptos Junior High school has joined thousands of schools across the country and throughout the world in implementing a PBIS system designed to support our students by emphasizing positive behavior at school and in the community. As we continue to improve our program, we wish to continue to place an emphasis on the our foundational motto where we ask our students to be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. To help illustrate this, we have identified several settings that have specific behavioral expectations. Please peruse the graphics below to see what Sea Dragons are expected to do.

Be a Super Sea Dragon!!

Students who are observed exhibiting the positive conduct that is expected of them may be recognized by a staff member and given a Super Sea Dragon ticket. Students may place these tickets in the blue box in the attendance office to have their names read aloud during the morning announcements, receive a treat, and be entered in our monthly Student of of the Month drawing!
