AJHS Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
Aptos Junior High school has joined thousands of schools across the country and throughout the world in implementing a PBIS system designed to support our students by emphasizing positive behavior at school and in the community. As we continue to improve our program, we wish to continue to place an emphasis on the our foundational motto where we ask our students to be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. To help illustrate this, we have identified several settings that have specific behavioral expectations. Please peruse the graphics below to see what Sea Dragons are expected to do.
Be a Super Sea Dragon!!
Our students have continued to demonstrate excellence and resilience during the pandemic. Teachers have nominated one student per week for recognition as a Super Sea Dragon. Soon, we will be reintroducing 5 Star where students can earn points toward recognition for their efforts!
